Hand-painted, monumental obelisk by Maitland Smith with brass legs and finial, c.1980s. This substantial piece was hand painted a tortoise-shell 'trompe l'oeil' pattern with dynamic color and movement, a cream trim, and high-gloss lacquered finish. The perfect accent for living room or office shelves, or as the star-attraction on a console table or credenza, this piece is sure to make a statement. In excellent vintage condition with ultra minor wear. Signed on base.
