Set of 6 sculptural oak dining chairs designed by Bill Stephens for Knoll, c.1976. Originally designed for the student center at Yale School of Architecture in the mid 1960s, these chairs were only made for two decades and Knoll ceased production in 1988. Dramatic bentwood frames are newly refinished, and seats or freshly reupholstered in a fun but subtle patterned jacquard as a nod to the MCM era. While only lightly padded, the chairs' ergonomic design makes them surprisingly comfortable and perfect for long dinner parties.
