Spectacular rosewood executive desk designed by Henning Jensen & Torben Valeur for Dyrlund, Denmark c.1960s. A stunning example of Danish midcentury modern design, this piece is hand-crafted with no detail spared: dramatic wood grain, exposed joinery, and finished bookcase back. Gorgeous from all angles, this one deserves to be the center of a room. More frequently found in teak or oak, the rosewood version of this desk is uncommon and highly sought-after, unsurprisingly so given its exotic beauty. This is the only rosewood example we’ve been able to find on the US market and it’s pristine—completely refinished with no surface untouched. Three drawers and a file cabinet offer ample storage to stow away important papers, while the exposed bookshelf back is the perfect display area for special books and collectibles. In exceptional restored condition.
